A Vibrant Celebration of Rhythm and Improvisation

Experience the fire, sophistication, and global rhythms of the EMIT Latin Jazz Fest. Presented by the adventurous nonprofit arts organization EMIT, this premier annual event celebrates the rich intersection of American jazz traditions and powerful Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and Afro-Caribbean musical roots.

The festival brings together a stellar lineup of multi-GRAMMY winners, internationally acclaimed headliners, and top Florida-based artists. From the driving energy of Afro-Cuban piano trios to the elegant, swaying melodies of authentic Brazilian Bossa Nova and Samba-jazz, the EMIT Latin Jazz Fest showcases the evolving landscape of Latin jazz artistry.

Beyond world-class performances, the festival features vibrant educational workshops and masterclasses designed to inspire local students and music lovers alike, bridging cultures through percussive innovation and spirited improvisation.

World-Class Talent: Past and present lineups feature standard-bearers of the genre, including MacArthur "Genius" Fellows, Latin GRAMMY recipients, and premier regional ensembles.

About the Presenter: For over 30 years, EMIT has been a vital creative force in the Tampa Bay area, producing over 500 cultural events spanning contemporary jazz, world music, and interactive electronics, while providing essential recording arts programs for local youth.
